Apartment is named in honour of one of the creators of the Russian fleet. Fedor Apraksin was the companion of Peter I, General Admiral, first President of Admiralty collegium. It was Apraksin who laid the foundations of commercial and military shipbuilding, organised the first trading sailing voyage abroad. In 1707 Fedor Matveevich was granted as Admiral and President of admiralties and also got a personal headship over the fleet at Baltic sea. He commanded the Russian fleet in the Northern war and Persian campaign (1722). The apartment is decorated in pleasant light colors, lampshades are colored like Russian painting Khokhloma.
